Twin Superhero Party

My twins turned 4 in May and there was no more fitting theme than a Superhero Birthday Party. They each have there own favorite superheroes so I wanted a way to incorporate lots of them. I started with a fun bright printable backdrop featuring multiple heroes chosen by my boys. This was definitely the starting point to a fun table.
The buildings were the next huge addition to the space. I used plain shipping boxes in varying sizes wrapped in black butcher paper. Yellow card stock and a sharpie created different types of windows. So easy but such a big impact.

The next big impact on the table was my cupcake tower. Again I just used shipping boxes wrapped in red wrapping paper A printable party circle, blue dot cupcake baking cups, and printable cupcake toppers continue the theme throughout.

One of my favorite products for a party is our polka dot balloons, Always a great way to add a pop of color. They also helped in covering up some wall decals in our venue.

I love these new fun baking cups/candy cups in my store used to hold snacks. These little cuties have so many great uses.

No 5M Creations party is complete without a Happy Birthday banner. I used this as my table garland to continue the patterns and colors down the table. It helps break up the white of a plain table cloth.

I love this place setting. We had our party at a inflatable bouncing venue and were limited to dry snacks and apples. I dressed them up with our polka dot baking cups/ candy cups. Add a water bottle wrap with our fun superhero wording and a cute striped straw.

I think this is my favorite shot of the party. These primary colored little pots were found in the Target dollar section. A printable party circle and some shredded paper and you have the perfect superhero centerpieces.

My two little heroes had so much fun. We provided masks and capes for all their friends as favors. Many moms messaged me to say their child would not take them off. It was a hit.

Happy Birthday boys! I love you.

My superhero family!

The superhero printable package will be shared on the blog soon. Invites, paper straws, and baking cups are available in my store NOW! www.5mcreations.etsy.com

Cute as a Button Baby Shower / Birthday Party

I am so excited to share this theme with you. We used it for a baby shower but it would make a cute first birthday party or gender reveal party as well.

A few months back my friend Dara and I had the privilege of throwing a baby shower for a dear friend. The unique part of this shower is they were not finding out the gender of the baby but the shower would be after the baby arrived. We decided to go with a cute as a button theme with pastel neutral colors.

I designed the invitation using more of the green and decided we would play up either pink or blue once the baby arrived. We would only have about 2 weeks to pull everything together. By using a neutral color scheme we could have almost everything ready.

I started be designing the printables using pink, blue, green, and yellow with stripes and a subtle polka dot pattern.

This cute as a button banner was the back drop to our party table.

We were so excited to here that the new baby was a girl. With 2 big brothers this was exciting news and we jumped at the chance to use pink everywhere we could. I created this party sign to welcome the guests and to be used for Baby Quinn's room after the party.

This Cute as a Button baby shower centerpiece was annother fun way to person the party with baby Quinn's name. It is available for a boy or neutral as well.

Another friend of ours made these gorgeous button cupcakes for the shower. They were the perfect sweet addition to the table. And so yummy! Even pink inside.

Since I did not need traditional cupcake toppers this time I used our printable toppers on label paper to make stickers for the cups. It was such an easy way to dress up an otherwise plain item. Add our yellow striped paper straws and we had an adorable drink station.

One of my favorite additions to any party is our polka dot balloons. They are available in so many colors and really add a pop of color to a party space or entrance.

I created this cute button garland to go across the front of the table. A circle cutter, hole, punch and some ribbon make this an easy addition to any button party.

Dara made this cute button Q for baby Quinn's nursery.

We added some buttons in our party colors sprinkled across the table.

Orginally these cute button lollipops were going to be individually wrapped as party favors. We ended up adding them to our party table instead. Guests munched on them throughout the party.
I found a button lollipop mold at my local cake decor store. Add some pink food coloring to basic white cholocate candy melts and voila!

Baby shower games are not one of my favorite things. I find that most have been done way to many times or are kind of gross. We wanted it to be fun for everyone no matter who was at the party. We had grandmas to 6year olds. I fould inspiration online for a candy name game. You try to match the candy name to a list of pregnancy and baby related sayings. Each guest was given a printable list of the candy names and we read the saying out loud. Whomever yelled the answer first got the candy bar that matched. (ex. Twins = Mike & Ike)
I am including the printable candy and answers lists at the bottom of the post FREE to my readers.

The person who guessed the most correct got this HUGE HerSHEys bar.

Overall it was a fun cute shower perfect for a new baby girl.
Welcome to the world Baby Quinn. We cannot wait to see you grow.

This printable party package is available in my store.
